The Hyundai ST1 Is An Electric Work Van With Futuristic Styling
Hyundai has unveiled something completely different – a fully electric work van that appears to have come straight from the future. Known as the ST1, this lineup of vehicles is designed specifically for small businesses in South Korea. It will be available as a cargo van, refrigerated van, and a chassis cab for customization.
While technical specifications have yet to be revealed, Hyundai has focused on the exterior design of the ST1. The workhorse features a futuristic front-end design reminiscent of the Staria minivan and Kona crossover, with unique low-mounted headlights and a full-width strip for daytime running lights.
The ST1 is aimed at those who require a more spacious van than the Staria Load, with protective plastic cladding around the body. The charging port is located at the front, next to a small air intake, and the ride height has been lowered for easier loading and unloading. Despite its boxy appearance, aerodynamic elements have been integrated into the design for efficiency.
More details and pricing for the ST1 will be revealed in the first half of 2024, with plans for the work van to be available in Korea later this year before expanding to other regions.
