Volkswagen Will Reveal its High-Performance ID.Buzz GTX on March 21
Volkswagen is set to unveil a new high-performance vehicle at its annual press conference on March 21. The teaser image shared on LinkedIn hints at a high-performance version of the ID.Buzz electric van, known as the ID.Buzz GTX. With production set to begin in early 2023, the ID.Buzz GTX will offer 335 horsepower thanks to a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, similar to the ID.7 GTX. Additional upgrades like a stiffer suspension, better brakes, bigger wheels, and a sportier interior are expected.
The ID.Buzz GTX has been in the spotlight for a while now, with sightings of a test mule and Nürburgring testing. It remains unclear if this high-performance variant will be available in the United States, as neither the ID.3 GTX nor the ID.7 GTX Tourer are planned for the US market. However, the anticipation for a sporty EV van raises curiosity, especially in a market where demand for Electric vehicles is fluctuating. Regardless, the ID.Buzz GTX promises an exciting ride for those interested in Volkswagen’s electric offerings.
