The American automaker is preparing to present the new Jeep Compass electric crossover. The novelty should be shown to the public by the end of the year, and car sales in Europe should start already in 2025.
Speaking to Auto ExpressJeep UK managing director Chris Cholmondeley suggested the new Compass will be unveiled in November. Apparently, the novelty will be offered in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric versions, which corresponds to Jeep's “Freedom of Choice” strategy.
The managing director of Jeep in Britain believes that the new model will be the key to gaining market share. The Compass EV is expected to usher in Jeep's revival in Europe as it carves a niche in one of its most popular segments.
It is known that the Compass EV will be based on the STLA Medium platform and will have a range of more than 700 km in the top version and at least 500 km in the “base”.
It is interesting that the company is still keeping the fact that the electric Compass will enter the US market a secret. Meanwhile, for America, Jeep plans to launch the Gladiator electric pickup, which could compete with the Rivian R1T and Tesla Cybertruck.
