Engineers from Moment Motor Company turned the classic Jaguar E-Type into an electric car. Before creating the electric car, the company conducted a full-scale analysis of the classic Jaguar and used CAD images and 3D modeling to find the ideal locations for installing critical powertrain components.
With this in mind, the electric motor was installed in the old transmission tunnel. The power plant produces 300 hp. and 508 Nm of maximum torque to the rear wheels via a carbon fiber drive shaft.
The car is powered by a 60 kWh traction battery. Although that battery is relatively large, the electric E-Type can only drive a claimed 281 km, and fast charging is only available as an option. The classic coupe can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.
Among the changes in the cabin, we can note adjusted sensors for displaying indicators of electricity consumption, state of charge and temperature. A small display was also hidden in the glove box to display more detailed data. Buyers can also opt for electric air conditioning. Unfortunately, the company keeps the price and production dates of the exclusive electric car a secret.
