BYD is expanding the model line of its premium brand Denza. The Z9 flagship model will make its debut at the Beijing auto show. For now on the CarNewsChina website the first photos of the electric car have been published.
Like all Denza electric cars, the car is a joint development of BYD and Mercedes-Benz, because these two concerns are co-owners of the Chinese brand. In the second half of this year, the electric car will go on sale in China, and in 2025 it will appear on the European market.
The new BYD Denza Z9 is positioned as an electric alternative to the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo and competitor Zeekr 001. The large electric hatchback features a streamlined design with a sloping roof, pronounced “nose” and slanted headlights. The rear window is covered by a curved spoiler, and the lights are stretched over the entire width of the body.
Dimensions BYD Denza Z9:
- length – 5180 mm;
- width – 1990 mm;
- height – 1500 mm;
- wheel base – 3125 mm;
- mass – 2875 kg.
The interior of the BYD Denza Z9 was not shown, but the details of its power plant were revealed. The Chinese electric car will receive three motors with a total power of 952 hp, and its maximum speed will be 240 km/h.
