General Motors (GM) has announced that they are giving up on their electric vehicle (EV) ambitions. This comes as a surprise to many, as GM had previously made big promises about transitioning to an all-electric future.
Many critics are now saying that GM’s EV ambitions were never truly serious. Despite unveiling a lineup of Electric vehicles and investing in new battery technology, it seems that GM was unable to follow through on their commitments.
This news is disappointing for those who were hopeful that GM would lead the way in the electric vehicle market. It raises questions about the company’s priorities and commitment to sustainability.
GM’s decision to give up on their EV ambitions serves as a reminder that actions speak louder than words. It is a sobering lesson for other companies who may be making similar promises without a concrete plan for execution.
Overall, this news is a setback for the EV industry and a wake-up call for companies to back up their commitments with real action.

Whether it was the partnerships with Lordstown and Nikola, or the “in just two years!” claims we’ve been hearing for ages, GM has never been terribly serious about Electric cars.
Add to that the cancelation of the Honda Partnership and delays in all new EV production, and you’ve got quite a recipe for failure on your hands… you know, “leadership”.
