Is The Yadea Kemper RC The Electric Sportbike We’ve Been Waiting For?
Yadea, a Chinese company, made a significant impact at last year’s EICMA event when they unveiled the Kemper, an electric naked bike that was the most performance-oriented model in their lineup. Building on the success of the Kemper, Yadea has now introduced an even sportier version called the Kemper RC. The Kemper RC is a full-fairing sportbike with futuristic styling, as depicted in the above image.
The Kemper RC features angular lines, a bold color scheme, and a single-sided swingarm, all designed to make it stand out from other bikes. The bike boasts suspension components from KYB and a dual-disc brake setup from Brembo, showing Yadea’s commitment to quality.
Powering the Kemper RC is a mid-drive electric motor with a maximum output of 40 kilowatts (54 horsepower) and a continuous rating of 23 kilowatts (31 horsepower). This makes it A2 compliant in Europe, appealing to young riders interested in electric bikes. The bike accelerates from 0 to 62 miles per hour in under five seconds, with a top speed of around 100 mph.
Recharging the Kemper RC is quick, with a fast charger capable of reaching 80% charge in just 10 minutes. The bike is equipped with a 6.4 kWh battery and features electronic rider aids such as ABS and traction control. Additionally, it offers a full-color TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and a built-in dashcam.
Pricing information for the Kemper RC has not been released yet, but Yadea will need to price it competitively to compete with established players like Zero Motorcycles. Overall, the Kemper RC offers an exciting blend of performance, style, and technology, making it a compelling option for riders looking for an electric sportbike.
