What Do You Think Of The New Ryvid Outset EV Moto?
Ryvid, a California-based EV motorcycle manufacturer, is introducing its second model, the Outset, following the successful launch of its first model, the Anthem. While there haven’t been any RideApart reviews on the Anthem yet, there are positive reviews from both journalists and owners available online. This is significant in light of recent struggles faced by EV motorcycle companies like Arc and Cake.
The Ryvid Outset is a scrambler version of the Anthem, featuring Dunlop Mutant tires, “multi-road tuning,” and adjustable suspension with 6.5 inches of front fork travel and 1.8 inches of rear shock travel. It has a 4.3 kWh removable battery and a built-in 3.3kW charger capable of charging to 80 percent in about 2.3 hours on 110V power. With a top speed of 75 mph and a range of up to 70 miles on a single charge, the Outset could be a suitable commuter option.
The Outset’s design differs from the Anthem, with a narrower and taller frame, wider handlebars, and unique ergonomics. Both bikes share interchangeable parts, and the Outset boasts a 4.9-inch TFT display with two high contrast visibility modes.
The Ryvid Outset, designed and manufactured in California, will be available in Vapor Grey and Sector Red color options, with deliveries starting in summer 2024. Priced at $5,995, the Outset offers an affordable option for electric motorcycle enthusiasts. Additionally, Ryvid has reduced the price of the Anthem to $6,495, making both models attractive choices for potential buyers.
Keep an eye on this. We've seen the Japanese autos struggling in China and now @VW.
There are openings for VW in US EV market, particularly with more ID.4, ID. Buzz and the @Porsche Macan.
