BorgWarner is putting into production a new 960kW ultra-fast charger for electric vehicles that can charge a Windrose electric truck in about half an hour.
The Windrose Electric Semi project is gaining momentum in China. BorgWarner, through its Chinese group New Energy, has just announced a new 960kW liquid-cooled charging station.
The new fast truck chargers are part of a pilot program between BorgWarner, Windrose and global real estate company Goodman Group to add EV charging infrastructure for electric long-haul trucks in China.
“As a young entrepreneur in my early thirties, I deeply respect the grandeur of our vision for zero-emission highway trucks in China, Europe, the US and other parts of the world. We are truly fortunate to work with industry leaders such as Decathlon, Goodman Group and BorgWarner.”– said Wen Han, CEO of Windrose.
It is known that the first charging station from BorgWarner will be installed on the territory of Goodman's Citylink company near Beijing.
