BYD officially presented the budget electric crossover Yuan UP on March 27, and now there is already the first summary of pre-sales: in three days, 20 thousand orders were collected for the car.
This is a great success, but it is predictable in view of the extremely low cost of the car: for the basic version they ask for 13.4 thousand dollars, for the top version – only 16.5 thousand dollars.
BYD Yuan UP became the first electric model of class A0 (according to the Chinese classification) on the modern BYD e-platform 3.0 platform.
BYD Yuan UP received one electric motor with a capacity of 177 hp. and traction batteries of two capacity options (for 300 and 400 km), and the maximum speed is 160 km/h.
