The new Mazda EZ-6 and Arata were presented at the Beijing Auto Show. Inexpensive electric sedan and crossover will be produced in China. Their details have been disclosed on the official website of the Japanese automaker.
Rear-wheel drive sedan EZ-6 will be the successor of Mazda 6. It is not a completely new development, because it is based on the Chinese Changan Deepal SL03. It is at the Changan plant that the car will be produced from the end of 2024.
The new Mazda EZ-6 features a wedge-shaped silhouette with a long hood and a raised rear. From the front, the electric car resembles a gasoline Mazda – the plastic insert imitates the radiator grille.
Mazda EZ-6 2025 dimensions:
- length – 4921 mm;
- width – 1890 mm;
- height – 1485 mm.
A virtual instrument panel and a large 14.6-inch touchscreen were installed in the Mazda EZ-6 cabin. The front seats are separated by a high console.
The main characteristics of the Mazda EZ-6 have not yet been announced, it is only known that the range of the electric car will be 600 km in the standard version and 1000 km – with a gasoline motor-generator.
The related Changan Deepal SL03 is offered in rear-wheel drive versions with 218 and 258 hp. with batteries for 58.9 and 66.8 kWh.
The Mazda Arata crossover is still a concept car and will become an electric alternative models СХ-5. It has a sharp design with a high window line and short body overhangs.
Production of the model will begin in 2025, and more information about it will be released by then. It should receive the same power plants as the Mazda EZ-6.
