Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover was able to cover more than 900 km without recharging. This is a new world record among serial electric cars. The video of the arrival was published on the Webfleet UKI YouTube channel.
To be more precise, the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric car traveled 916.74 km on a single charge. Representatives of the Guinness Book of Records have already registered this achievement. The previous record was 907.62 km and was set by the Chinese electric car Zeekr 001.
The electric crossover Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium Extended Range RWD with rear-wheel drive and a large 91 kWh battery was chosen for the record-breaking drive. It was distinguished from the standard model only by 18-inch Bridgestone tires with a reduced drag coefficient. The passport range of this electric car is 600 km.
The race took place in Great Britain and lasted 24 hours. The electric crossover was tested both in urban areas and on roads in the counties of Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire.
It is worth noting that this achievement is a record among mass-produced electric cars, because there are prototypes with a much larger range. In particular, in 2023, the experts of the Guinness Book of Records recorded that an experimental electric car covered 2,573.79 km without recharging.
