KIA is preparing to expand the electric line. According to the brand's updated development plan, by 2028 its model range should include nine different electric cars. About this the Top Gear website reports.
A large part of electric cars will be affordable. In particular, the KIA EV5 electric crossover is already on the market, and the more compact KIA EV3 will appear in the summer with a price of approximately $35,000. It has a chopped design, just like its older brothers. The range will reach 480 km.
This year will also see the debut of the updated electric car KIA EV6, and in early 2025 flagship KIA EV9 will receive a powerful GT modification.
Next will be the sedan KIA EV4, in the design of which the edges are combined with a coupe-like silhouette. An inexpensive subcompact electric crossover KIA EV2 is also expected, which will compete with the Peugeot e-2008 or the electric Ford Puma.
In addition, KIA PV5 and PV7 commercial electric vehicles were announced. They will be offered in various cargo and passenger versions.
By 2030, KIA plans to produce 1.6 million electric cars annually, with 250,000 of them being commercial models. And from 2035, the brand's European lineup will become fully electric.
