Galaxy, Geely's independent brand specializing in new energy vehicles, presents the new E5 electric crossover.
Teaser images were released earlier this week, and now it's been confirmed that the car will be called the Galaxy E5. The crossover is set to make its public debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. It will be priced between $21,000 and $28,000.
The Internet is debating how much the car copies the Porsche Macan and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
The peculiarity of the Galaxy E5 is that it will be the first global product of the brand. Therefore, both left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions for the markets of different countries are under development at the same time. This demonstrates Geely Galaxy's desire to expand its presence outside of China and reach a wider international audience.
The external design of the Galaxy E5 is similar to the external design of its related model, the Galaxy E8. It is equipped with a distinctive Light Cosmos Dynamic grille. Sharp headlights and L-shaped daytime running lights give the car a sporty look.
Concealed door handles improve aerodynamic efficiency. The car received light-alloy wheels, a solid rear light and a spoiler. Details about the power plant have not yet been announced.
