The Silence S04 Nanocar electric car was presented in Paris. The compact city car will go on sale in Europe from the summer. It is reported on the official website of Nissan.
The Japanese automaker joined the Silence S04 Nanocar project, which was developed by the Spanish company ACCIONA. From June, the electric car will be sold in France and Italy, and from September – in Germany.
The Nissan / Silence S04 Nanocar electric car is a two-seater city car with a length of 2.28 m, a width of 1.29 m and a height of 1.59 m. It weighs only 450 kg.
The cabin has a rather modest appearance, although the Silence S04 Nanocar still received a digital instrument panel, power windows and an audio system, and options include air conditioning and ABS.
The electric car will be offered in two versions. Initially, a more powerful 30-horsepower version of the L7e will be offered for 15,669 euros. It can accelerate up to 85 km/h, and its range is 149 km. Two 5.6 kWh batteries are removable for charging, as in electric scooters.
A more affordable version of the L7e will appear later and will become a competitor to the Citroen Ami. It is not so powerful and develops 45 km/h, but the range reaches 175 km. It will be Nissan's cheapest electric car.
