The Volkswagen company has included several versions in its range of electric cars electric hatchback ID.3. The car was presented to the world in 2019 as the first Volkswagen electric car on the MEB platform.
Last year, 140,800 units of the ID.3 were sold, making the model the second best-selling electric car in the VW Group after the ID.4/ID.5, with combined sales of 223,100. In the first three months of 2024, more than 26,000 ID units were delivered to customers .3.
Now thanks to a more powerful and efficient engine, the new ID.3 in the Pro S version develops 228 hp. and has a range of up to 550 km. The updated model also has a faster charging speed with support for 175 kW chargers and is equipped with battery pre-conditioning.
A larger multimedia screen and an updated infotainment system with ChatGPT support appeared in the car's cabin.
With a small update, the most affordable version of the electric car called ID.3 Pure also appeared. Thanks to the engine with a capacity of 168 hp. and the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 52 kWh, the Pure variant provides a range of up to 388 km.
Prices for the new model in Europe start at 36,900 euros, while prices for the Pro S start at 47,595 euros.
