Only a year after the debut of the updated Volkswagen ID.3 the automaker presented another series of updates to the popular electric car. So, the novelty from the German brand received a more powerful electric motor, and the entire line received the benefits of the latest infotainment system, new functions and faster charging.
Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S previously had an electric motor with a capacity of 201 hp, after the update its power increased to 228 hp. It is interesting that car owners in Europe can upgrade their electric cars after purchasing them over the air.
Thanks to a more powerful power plant, the electric car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, which is 0.8 seconds faster than before. In addition, the efficiency of the electric motor has been improved, adding 13 km to the combined WLTP cycle range, which is now estimated at 559 km.
In addition, the 77 kWh ID.3 battery pack now offers a pre-conditioning function, bringing it to the optimal temperature before charging. This allows charging from charging stations with a capacity of up to 175 kW.
The interior of the ID.3 Pro S has a 12.9-inch touchscreen display. It has fewer buttons and runs on the latest operating system with ChatGPT integration. The company has also improved the augmented reality head-up display in the ID.3.
Among the new functions of the electric Volkswagen is the Wellness App with several modes that change lighting, sound and air conditioning accordingly. In addition, a 480-watt audio system from Harman Kardon is now available as an option. The Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S is already available for order in Germany at a price of 47,595 euros.
