Unfortunately, Tesla does not break down its sales statistics by model. In the second quarter of 2024, the automaker confirmed deliveries of 21,551 “other model” EVs, which included the Model S, Model X, Cybertruck and Tesla Semi.
However, we have a better idea of Tesla Cybertruck shipments in the second quarter due to several recalls. After several recalls last month, Tesla confirmed that it had produced 11,688 Cybertrucks as of June 6. The previous recall confirmed that Tesla had produced 3,878 Cybertrucks as of mid-April.
That's a difference of about 7800 Cybertruck. If you subtract the last few weeks of April, and then add in the one or two thousand vehicles released for the rest of June, it's safe to assume that Tesla delivered between 8,000 and 9,000 Cybertruck electric pickup trucks during the second quarter.
By comparison, Ford sold 7,902 F-150 Lightning pickups in the second quarter. In turn, GM delivered 2,196 Silverado EVs. GM also confirmed delivery of 2,929 Hummer EV pickups and SUVs in the second quarter.
Rivian, like Tesla, doesn't break out EV deliveries by model, but the company revealed it delivered 13,790 electric vehicles. It is known that the R1S SUV accounts for the majority of deliveries. Therefore, most likely, on R1T pickup truck there are about 4,000 sold units.
This could mean that the Tesla Cybertruck is now the best-selling electric pickup truck in the US.
