Owners of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT electric crossover can unlock an additional 135 Nm of peak torque for $995. Thanks to the additional traction, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Ford has announced that the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT may receive “performance enhancements” either at the time of purchase, or already while driving. The upgrade “combines innovative thermal transmission modeling and control algorithms” with an additional 135Nm of torque.
Ford says that the update allows the electric crossover to accelerate from a standstill to the first hundred in 3.5 seconds and to run a quarter mile in 11.8 seconds at a speed of 183 km/h.
The American automaker did not reveal the price of the upgrade, but the video shows that it costs $995 before taxes. For comparison, Mercedes EQE owners can get an additional 60 hp. for $60 per month, $600 per year, or $1,950 over the life of the vehicle.
