“…Since the launch of the service, as of April 17, 2024, a total of number plates of the 1-1-2 type (special plates for all types of cars that are driven by an electric motor and do not have an internal combustion engine) and number plates have been fixed type 1-3-2 … – 106,360 sets; license plates of type 1-2-2 (special plates for buses and taxis, which are entered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs as a means of carrying out business activities involving the transportation of passengers by road transport) are fixed – 3 sets”– said in the answer.
The SSC noted that a total of 106,360 sets of these license plates were issued for electric cars and electric buses since October 6, 2020 – the day of the start of issuing “green” license plates for these types of transport.
It is reported that since the launch of this service, the largest number of “green” license plates have been attached to electric vehicles in Kyiv (21,030 sets) and Lviv Oblast (10,597 sets), the least – in Donetsk (321) and Luhansk (242) regions.
9,375 sets of “green” license plates were issued in Odesa region, 8,147 in Dnipropetrovsk, 6,392 in Kharkiv, 4,977 in Vinnytsia, 4,656 in Ternopil, 3,735 in Chernivtsi, 3,648 in Rivne, and 3,473 in Zakarpattia , Zhytomyrska – 3408, Ivano-Frankivsk – 3303, Poltava – 3295, Volyn – 3218, Cherkasy – 2148, Zaporizhia – 1592, Kirovohrad – 1349, Sumy – 1006, Mykolaiv – 821, Chernihiv – 517, Kherson – 393.
