The Japanese automaker has yet to announce details on either model, but has already set its sights on selling both BEVs in China in about 10-12 months.
Last year, Toyota previewed these two electric SUVs, the bZ Sport Cross Concept and the bZ FlexSpace Concept. At the same time, the bZ3C was developed together with BYD and FAW, and the bZ3X was developed with the help of Guangzhou Automobile Group.
Since electric cars of global brands from China are quite popular in Ukraine, there is a high probability that soon these two cars will appear on our market as well, thanks to the efforts of “gray” dealers.
Currently, these two Japanese-Chinese Toyota electric models have been given the final name bZ3C and bZ3X and debuted at the Beijing Auto China 2024. Toyota intends to sell both in the Chinese market from next year.
The premieres at the motor show were announced without detailing the characteristics – neither regarding their electric power units nor batteries. The price list is also not announced in advance.
The bZ3C's cabin is dominated by the massive central infotainment display in the center of the dashboard, typical of most BEVs. In general, the interior has a simple and minimalist design.
The cabin of the bZ3X seems much more spacious than that of its brother, the bZ3C. There is also a large infotainment display. The two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and two wireless charging panels for phones catch the eye. A wide panoramic glass roof was also installed.
Both electric cars have familiar features and are similar to the new Prius. bZ3C received crossover form according to the “reboot” concept.
Although the bZ3X looks more like an SUV than its sibling and actually has a Fortuner silhouette when viewed from certain angles. It also promises a large interior space.
Among the standout exterior features are sharp LED daytime running lights and a single LED taillight. The developers boasted that both models are “equipped with the latest driver assistance systems.”
