According to Marques, Lucid has left no room for complaints with the Sapphire. He describes it as one of the best sedans ever made and the pinnacle of EV technology at the moment. The improvements in the Air Sapphire distinguish it significantly from the standard model, justifying its hefty $250,000 price tag.

One standout feature for Marques is how Lucid ensured that the car is at the top of its class. Unlike the Tesla Model S Plaid, which mainly offers a performance boost, the Air Sapphire has notable enhancements that set it apart. This includes blacked-out trim, carbon fiber accents, carbon ceramic brakes, sporty tires, and a sleek wheel design that adds to the car’s overall appeal.

The Sapphire boasts impressive specs, including a range of 427 miles, a 118 kWh battery size, and a blistering acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds. Marques highlights the tire composition, which provides excellent grip and handling, especially in corners.

When it comes to the interior, the Sapphire maintains Lucid’s reputation for spaciousness and practical storage options. The cabin features luxurious suede material on the doors, interior trim, and roof. Rear seat legroom is exceptional, thanks to the car’s larger size.

Despite its top-tier status, Marques sees no downsides to the Lucid Air Sapphire. He considers it not only the best electric sedan globally but also the best sedan overall. However, he acknowledges that this niche $250,000 sedan may not be within everyone’s reach.
