The new Xiaomi SU7 began to rapidly lose customers. More than half of the orders for the first car from the Chinese corporation have already been canceled. About this ITHome website reports.
To be more precise, 55% of Xiaomi SU7 customers decided to abandon the purchase of electric cars. According to the contract, they can cancel the order and collect the advance payment within a week.
The main reason for rejecting the Xiaomi SU7 is the huge queues for cars. So far, the Chinese company is able to produce 9,000 cars per month, and only in the first 24 hours of sales, the electric car collected 88,898 orders. Therefore, the delivery of the car would have to wait almost a year.
But even despite the large number of rejections, there are still 60,000 orders for the Xiaomi SU7, and therefore the factory is busy for several months.
We will remind that the first Xiaomi electric car is currently sold only in China and costs from 215,900 to 299,900 yuan ($29,900 – 41,500). They will start exporting cars to other countries later.
The new Xiaomi SU7 is available in 300-horsepower rear-wheel drive and 663-horsepower all-wheel drive versions. Its range ranges from 700 to 830 km. The most powerful version starts up to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.
