The vast majority of electric car owners are unlikely to return to cars with an internal combustion engine. According to the results of the survey of the British project Fully Charged Show, more than 93% of electric car drivers plan to permanently abandon “fuel” cars, and 99% recommend switching to electric cars to those who have not yet done so.
In addition, the study found that 92% of respondents believe that governments are not doing enough to encourage sales of electric cars, and 95% believe that the mainstream media does not accurately reflect their experiences. About 9,000 owners and drivers of electric cars from Great Britain, North America, Australia, the EU and other regions took part in the survey.
The study confirms the results of previous surveys by Zapmap and EVA England, which also showed a strong preference for electric cars compared to cars with an internal combustion engine.
Dan Caesar, CEO of the Fully Charged Show, emphasized that despite economic and political issues and misinformation, electric car users overwhelmingly believe that electric cars are superior to diesel cars. He noted that the increasing availability of inexpensive new and old electric cars ensures the constant growth of this segment of motor vehicles.
