The Chinese manufacturer of electric cars Zeekr, which belongs to the Geely holding, has banned the sale of its cars in the aggressor country of the Russian Federation and its satellite – Belarus.
It is worth noting that Zeekr is not officially represented in the Russian Federation, and electric cars of the Chinese brand are brought there through individuals. As for Belarus, in mid-March, Zeekr electric cars began to be delivered to this country through official channels. They are sold in the Minsk dealership, these cars have a multimedia system translated into Russian and a warranty.
If the Russian Federation and Belarus violate this ban, from July 1 Zeekr can remotely disable the multimedia system of all imported cars, which will turn them into “bricks”. More precisely, the car will be able to drive, but its functionality will be significantly limited.
Zeekr took such a step, apparently, in order not to fall under sanctions, because the brand is actively developing its network in Europe, where it sees great prospects for itself. For the sake of this, the Chinese are ready to sacrifice the markets of third world countries, which are becoming outcasts for civilized society.
